Top 5 Players of the 1932 Stanley Cup Finals

On Saturday, April 9th, 1932, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the New York Rangers at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto to win the 19th Stanley Cup Finals three games to none. It was the third Stanley Cup championship for the Maple Leafs franchise, and the seventh that was won in Ontario. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

5. #1 Lorne Chabot (Maple Leafs)- G

Chabot got the win in all three games of the series, with his best game coming in game two with just two goals allowed.

4. #7 King Clancy (Maple Leafs)- D

Clancy earned partial player of the game in game two, scoring a pair of goals as the Maple Leafs won it 6-2.

3. #9 Charlie Conacher (Maple Leafs)- F

Conacher took partial player of the game honors in game two, as he also added a pair of goals in the Maple Leafs’ 6-2 win.

2. #5 Andy Blair (Maple Leafs)- F

Blair claimed player of the game in game three, as he got two goals, both of which coming in the third period as the Maple Leafs took home the series sweep with the 6-4 win.

1. #11 Busher Jackson (Maple Leafs)- F

Jackson got player of the game honors in game one, scoring a hat trick along with adding an assist as the Maple Leafs went on to the 6-4 victory.
