On Sunday, February 3rd, 2013, the Baltimore Ravens
defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII to win the 93rd
championship in NFL history. It was the second (and, as of this writing, most
recent) championship for the Ravens franchise as Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco
won the Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome
in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson won the
2012 MVP Award with 12 rushing touchdowns and 2,097 rushing yards, while Texans
defensive end JJ Watt won the 2012 Defensive Player of the Year Award with four
forced fumbles and 20 and a half sacks.
