On Sunday, December 13th, 1942, the Washington Redskins defeated
the Chicago Bears 14-6 in the 1942 NFL Championship Game to win the 23rd
championship in NFL history. It was the second championship for the Redskins
franchise. The game was held at Griffith Stadium in Washington.
