On Sunday, December 13th, 1936, the Green Bay Packers
defeated the Boston Redskins 21-6 in the 1936 NFL Championship Game to win the
17th championship in NFL history. It was the fourth championship for the Packers
franchise. The game was held at Polo Grounds in New York.
The 1936 NFL season was also the first season in which
the league mandated that all teams play the same number of games during the
regular season.

(8-4), Pittsburgh Pirates (6-6), New York Giants (5-6-1), Brooklyn Dodgers (3-8-1),
