On Sunday, December 15th, 1935, the Detroit Lions
defeated the New York Giants 26-7 in the 1935 NFL Championship Game to win the
16th championship in NFL history. It was the first championship for the Lions
franchise. The game was held at University of Detroit Stadium in Detroit.
