1934 NFL Season Recap

On Sunday, December 9th, 1934, the New York Giants defeated the Chicago Bears 30-13 in the 1934 NFL Championship Game to win the 15th championship in NFL history. It was the second championship for the Giants franchise. The game was held at Polo Grounds in New York.

Out of Playoffs: Detroit Lions (10-3), Green Bay Packers (7-6), Boston Redskins (6-6), Chicago Cardinals (5-6), Philadelphia Eagles (4-7), Brooklyn Dodgers (4-7), St. Louis Gunners (1-2), Pittsburgh Pirates (2-10), Cincinnati Reds (0-8)

Most passing touchdowns: #45 Arnie Herber (Packers)- 8 TD

Most rushing touchdowns: #48 Beattie Feathers (Bears)- 8 TD & 1004 yds

Most receiving touchdowns: #56 Bill Hewitt (Bears)- 5 TD
