1933 NFL Season Recap

On Sunday, December 17th, 1933, the Chicago Bears defeated the New York Giants 23-21 in the 1933 NFL Championship Game to win the 14th championship in NFL history. It was the third championship for the Bears franchise. The game was held in Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Out of Playoffs: Brooklyn Dodgers (5-4-1), Portsmouth Spartans (6-5), Boston Redskins (5-5-2), Green Bay Packers (5-7-1), Philadelphia Eagles (3-5-1), Cincinnati Reds (3-6-1), Pittsburgh Pirates (3-6-2), Chicago Cardinals (1-9-1)

Most passing touchdowns: #12 Harry Newman (Giants)- 11 TD

Most rushing touchdowns: #60 Glenn Presnell (Spartans)- 6 TD

Most receiving touchdowns: #44 Shipwreck Kelly (Dodgers)- 3 TD & 246 yds
