On Sunday, December 11th, 1927, the 1927 NFL season
concluded with the New York Giants holding the best regular season record at 11-1-1
to win the eighth championship in NFL history, while the Green Bay Packers took
the runner-up spot with a 7-2-1 record. It was the first championship for the Giants
franchise.
Six players tied for the most touchdowns scored during
the season with six, with three of them playing for the Giants (Jack McBride,
Hinkey Haines, and Mule Wilson).
