On Monday, April 4th, 1921, the Ottawa Senators of the
National Hockey League defeated the Vancouver Millionaires of the Pacific Coast
Hockey Association at Denman Arena in Vancouver to win the eighth Stanley Cup
Finals three games to two. It was the second Stanley Cup championship for the
original Senators franchise, and the second that was won in British Columbia. These
are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
5. #4 Georges Boucher (Senators)- D
Boucher claimed partial player of the game in game
two, scoring a goal as the Senators picked up the 4-3 win.
4. #8 Cy Denneny (Senators)- F
Denneny also got partial player of the game honors in
game two, as he also had a goal in the Senators’ 4-3 victory.
3. #1 Clint Benedict (Senators)- G
Benedict was game five’s player of the game, as he
gave up just one goal as the Senators won it 2-1 to clinch the series
championship.
2. #6 Jack Darragh (Senators)- F
Darragh earned partial player of the game honors in
game two with a goal, as well as full player of the game honors in game three with
a goal in the Senators’ 3-2 victory to take the lead in the series.
