On Thursday, May 25th, 1989, the Calgary Flames defeated
the Montreal Canadiens at the Montreal Forum in Montreal to win the 76th
Stanley Cup Finals four games to two. It was the first (and, as of this
writing, only) Stanley Cup championship for the Flames franchise, and the 16th
that was won in Quebec. These are the top five players that I felt most stood
out during the series.

pair of goals to help the Flames to a 4-2 victory to clinch the series
championship.
