2024 Olympic Women’s Rugby Tournament Recap

On Tuesday, July 30^th, 2024, New Zealand defeated Canada 19-12 to win the third gold medal in Olympic women’s rugby history. It was the second gold medal for New Zealand in Olympic women’s rugby. Canada took their first silver medal with the loss, as the United States earned their first bronze with a 14-12 victory over Australia. The tournament was held in France, with Paris as the host city.

Maddison Levi of Australia set a new tournament record for most tries with 14, while scoring the most points as well with 70.
