As of 2021, there have been a total of 55 drivers in the Cup Series with their hometown listed in Alabama. So far, drivers representing the Yellowhammer State have taken a total of two championships, 133 wins, 585 top-fives and 934 top-10s in 3,083 starts. These

Currently, Alabama is represented in the Cup Series by Bubba Wallace, who currently has three top-fives and nine top-10s in 112 starts since his debut in 2017.

5. Donnie Allison (Active 1966-88)

Allison scored 10 wins, 78 top-fives and 115 top-10s in 242 starts during his career, with his best season coming in 1970, where he got three wins. However, he never finished higher than 16th in points due to not running the full schedule. Regardless, the double-digit win total is enough to land in fifth on this list, as he was also inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2009.

4. Neil Bonnett (Active 1974-93)

Bonnett claimed 18 wins, 83 top-fives and 156 top-10s in 362 starts, taking a best points finish of fourth in 1985. Bonnett’s winningest seasons came in 1979 and 1981, as he got three victories. Bonnett was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2001.

3. Davey Allison (Active 1985-93)

Allison took 19 victories, 66 top-fives and 92 top-10s in 191 starts, with a best points finish of 3rd in 1991 and 1992. Allison also had his most career wins in those two seasons, winning five races in each. Allison was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2019.

2. Red Byron (Active 1949-51)

Byron got two wins, four top-fives and four top-10s in just 15 career starts, as he went on to win the 1949 championship. Despite health issues forcing his career to end prematurely in 1951, Byron was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1966 and the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2018.

1. Bobby Allison (Active 1961-88)

Allison took 84 victories, 336 top-fives and 446 top-10s in 718 starts, as he won the 1983 championship. His winningest seasons were in 1971 and 1972, taking 10 wins in each of those seasons. The three-time Daytona 500 champ was inducted into the IMHF in 1993 and the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011.
