On Sunday, February 5th, 2012, the New York Giants
defeated the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI to win the 92nd
championship in NFL history. It was the eighth (and, as of this writing, most
recent) championship for the Giants franchise as Giants quarterback Eli Manning
won his second Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the
2011 MVP Award with 45 passing touchdowns and 4,643 passing yards, while Ravens
linebacker Terrell Suggs won the 2011 Defensive Player of the Year Award with two
interceptions, seven forced fumbles and 14 sacks.
