On Sunday, January 31st, 1999, the Denver Broncos
defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-19 in Super Bowl XXXIII to win the 79th
championship in NFL history. It was the second championship for the Broncos
franchise as Broncos quarterback John Elway won the Super Bowl MVP Award. The
game was held at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida.
Broncos running back Terrell Davis won the 1998 MVP
Award with 21 rushing touchdowns and 2,008 rushing yards. Green Bay Packers
defensive end Reggie White won his second Defensive Player of the Year Award
with 16 sacks and four forced fumbles.
