On Sunday, January 26th, 1986, the Chicago Bears defeated
the New England Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX to win the 66th championship in
NFL history. It was the ninth (and, as of this writing, most recent) championship
for the Bears franchise as Bears defensive end Richard Dent won the Super Bowl
MVP Award. The game was held at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
Raiders running back Marcus Allen won the 1985 MVP
Award with 11 rushing touchdowns and 1759 rushing yards while Bears linebacker
Mike Singletary won the 1985 Defensive Player of the Year Award with three
sacks and one interception.
