On Sunday, February 7th, 2010, the New Orleans Saints
defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV to win the 90th
championship in NFL history. It was the first (and, as of this writing, only)
championship for the Saints franchise as Saints quarterback Drew Brees won the
Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens,
Florida.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning won the back-to-back
MVP Awards with 33 passing touchdowns and 4,500 passing yards, while Packers
cornerback Charles Woodson won the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year Award with
nine interceptions, four forced fumbles and two sacks.
