2008 Olympic Baseball Tournament Recap

On Saturday, August 23rd, 2008, South Korea defeated Cuba 3-2 to win the fifth gold medal in Olympic baseball history. It was the first gold medal for South Korea in Olympic baseball. Cuba earned the silver medal, as the United States took bronze with an 8-4 victory over Japan. The tournament was held in China, with Beijing as the host city.
