2000 Olympic Baseball Tournament Recap

On Wednesday, September 27th, 2000, the United States defeated Cuba 4-0 to win the third gold medal in Olympic baseball history. It was the first gold medal for the United States in Olympic baseball. Cuba picked up the silver medal, as South Korea took bronze with a 3-1 victory over Japan. The tournament was held in the United States, with Atlanta as the host city.
