On Sunday, August 1st, 2021, the LA Giltinis defeated Rugby
ATL in the 2021 MLR Final to win the third championship in Major League Rugby
history. It was the first championship for the Giltinis franchise, as Giltinis
back Matt Giteau won the MLR Final MVP award. The match was held at the Los
Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.
LA Giltinis back Angus Cottrell scored the most tries
during the season with 11, while Houston SaberCats back Sam Windsor scored the
most total points on the season with 112.
