The Thursday MLR 2020: Virtual matchups saw Rugby United New York take down Old Glory DC 28-27, followed by the Colorado Raptors thrashing the Seattle Seawolves 50-0.
Old Glory DC was represented by back Renata Roberts-Tenana, while RUNY was represented by back Connor Wallace-Sims. Both teams earned three tries during the first half, but conversion kicks were the difference as New York made all three conversions while DC missed all three for a 21-15 advantage for RUNY. Old Glory DC closed the gap in the second half, but wouldn't be enough as RUNY eked out a 28-27 victory.
The Raptors were represented by back Mika Kruse, while the Seawolves were represented by forward Brad Tucker. Unlike the first match, this match was not at all close with Colorado taking a 31-0 advantage at halftime. They kept the pedal to the floor in the second half as well, eventually winning 50-0 for the largest blowout in the virtual league's history.
