The Saturday matchups for MLR 2020: Virtual saw six games take place, with the Austin Gilgronis and New Orleans Gold continuing their undefeated streaks so far this season.
The Gold were represented by forward Malcolm May, while the Arrows were represented by Ben LeSage. New Orleans jumped out in front with a 15-5 halftime lead, which they followed in the second half as the Gold went on to win 29-10.
The Warriors were represented by forward Alex Tucci, while the SaberCats were represented by back Kieran Farmer. It was the Warriors who took a 10-5 lead at halftime, before pulling away with 21 unanswered second half points to take a 31-5 victory.
Old Glory DC was represented by back Renata Roberts-Tenana, while the Free Jacks were represented by back Oliver Engelhart. New England claimed the lead at halftime, up 19-14, before Old Glory DC pulled ahead in the second half to win 28-26.
The Raptors were represented by back Mika Kruse, while the Gilgronis were represented by back Will Magie. A tight first half saw Austin take a 10-0 halftime advantage, while the second half went scoreless as the Gilgronis held on to take the 10-0 victory.
Rugby ATL was represented by forward Duane Aholelei, while back Will Leonard took the controls for Rugby United New York. A tightly contested first half saw New York grab the lead 5-0, however Atlanta retook the lead late in the second half with a try and the eventual game-winning conversion for a tightly contested 7-5 victory.
The Seawolves were represented by forward Brad Tucker, while the Legion were represented by forward CC Mahoni. Unlike the previous match, this match was not at all close with the Seawolves leading 21-0 at halftime, then keeping the shutout going into the second half as they went on to take a 47-0 victory to avenge their 50-0 loss from last Thursday.

1982 NASCAR Cup Series Season Recap

On Sunday, November 21st, 1982, the 1982 NASCAR Cup
Series season concluded with Darrell Waltrip defeating Bobby Allison by 72 points
to win the 34th championship in Cup Series history. It was the second Cup
Series championship for Waltrip. These are the top five points finishers for
the season.
The 1982 Daytona 500 was won by Bobby Allison, who
also led the most laps with 147. It was the second of three Daytona 500
victories for Allison; this was also the first 500 to be held as the first race
of the season, where it has stayed on the schedule for every season since.
5. #43 Richard Petty (-675 points)

Petty earned fifth with nine top-fives and 16 top-10s
for an average finish of 14.4 while leading the most laps in one race during
the season.
4. #33 Harry Gant (-612)

Labonte took the third spot with 17 top-fives and 21
top-10s to take an average finish of 10.7. Labonte led the most laps in one

and 20 top-10s, getting an average finish of 9.3 while leading the most laps in

Waltrip earned back-to-back championships as he had 12
victories, 17 top-fives and 20 top-10s for an average finish of 9.1. Waltrip
also led the most laps in seven races.

points to win the 33rd championship in Cup Series history. It was the first Cup
Series championship for Waltrip. These are the top five points finishers for
the season.
The 1981 Daytona 500 was won by Richard Petty, while
Bobby Allison led the most laps with 117. It would be the seventh and final 500
victory for Petty.

On Saturday, November 15th, 1980, the 1980 NASCAR Cup Series season concluded with Dale Earnhardt defeating Cale Yarborough by 19 points to win the 32nd championship in Cup Series history. It was the first Cup Series championship for Earnhardt. These are the top five points finishers for the season.
The 1980 Daytona 500 was won by Buddy Baker, who also led the most laps with 143.
5. #88 Darrell Waltrip (-422 points)
Waltrip claimed fifth in points with five wins, 16 top-fives and 17 top-10s, for an average finish of 12.8. Waltrip also led the most laps in nine races.
4. #43 Richard Petty (-406)
Petty took the fourth spot with two wins, 15 top-fives and 19 top-10s, taking an average finish of 11.7. Petty led the most laps in one race.
3. #27 Benny Parsons (-383)
Parsons claimed third as he scored three victories, 16 top-fives and 21 top-10s for an average finish of 11.4. Parsons also led the most laps in one race.
2. #11 Cale Yarborough (-19)
Yarborough got second as he had six wins, 19 top-fives and 22 top-10s, getting an average finish of 9.0. Yarborough led the most laps in nine starts.
1. #2 Dale Earnhardt
Earnhardt picked up the championship on the strength of five victories, 19 top-fives and 24 top-10s for an average finish of 8.2, while leading the most laps in three races.

'MLR 2020: Virtual' Recap- Thu. Mar. 26th, 2020

The Thursday MLR 2020: Virtual matchups saw Rugby United New York take down Old Glory DC 28-27, followed by the Colorado Raptors thrashing the Seattle Seawolves 50-0.
Old Glory DC was represented by back Renata Roberts-Tenana, while RUNY was represented by back Connor Wallace-Sims. Both teams earned three tries during the first half, but conversion kicks were the difference as New York made all three conversions while DC missed all three for a 21-15 advantage for RUNY. Old Glory DC closed the gap in the second half, but wouldn't be enough as RUNY eked out a 28-27 victory.
The Raptors were represented by back Mika Kruse, while the Seawolves were represented by forward Brad Tucker. Unlike the first match, this match was not at all close with Colorado taking a 31-0 advantage at halftime. They kept the pedal to the floor in the second half as well, eventually winning 50-0 for the largest blowout in the virtual league's history.
